Abderrazak Hamdallah forces his former club to back down

Atlas Lion Abderrazak Hamdallah, who plays as a center forward at Al Ittihad, has definitively won his case against his former club, Al-Nassr (Saudi Arabia).
The conflict between Abderrazak Hamdallah and his former club, Al Nassr, has come to an end. "(...) I would like to emphasize that legally and judicially, the complaints filed have been found to be unfounded, and that this Thursday, I confirm that I have received all my financial rights; by bank transfer to my current account, after it was proven that the decision to terminate my contract was incorrect and without legitimate cause," announced the Moroccan international in a post on his Instagram account. He received the sum of 3.3 million euros representing all the unpaid salaries that his former club owed him, according to the Saudi media.
The case dates back to November 2021. At the time, Al Nassr had unilaterally terminated Hamdallah’s contract. The club was demanding that the player pay it 20 million euros, the equivalent of his release clause. Revised downwards, this amount was set at 9.5 million euros. The Moroccan international then seized FIFA. It ruled in his favor. In its decision, it ordered the Saudi club to reimburse the Atlas Lion for his unpaid salaries, in addition to all the sums that were deducted from him during the Covid-19 pandemic.
