Abdelouahed Belkeziz, Former Moroccan Foreign Minister and OIC Secretary General, Dies at 82

Diplomat and former minister Abdelouahed Belkeziz died on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, in a hospital in Rabat, at the age of 82. The announcement was made by members of his family.
The deceased held many positions and played a major role in the rooting of Moroccan diplomacy abroad. Thus, Abdelouahed Belkeziz was Morocco’s ambassador to Iraq from 1976 to 1978, Minister of Information from 1978 to 1982 and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1982 to 1985.
In addition to his diplomatic and ministerial functions, the late Abdelouahed Belkeziz was Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) between 2001 and 2004 and also held several positions of responsibility within the Faculty of Law in Rabat, the University Hassan II of Casablanca and the University Ibn Tofail of Kénitra.
The deceased will be buried after the Al-Asr prayer in the Chouhada cemetery in Rabat.
