2030 World Cup: a big stadium in Meknes?

Meknes could have its big stadium in the perspective of the World Cup, co-organized by Morocco, Spain and Portugal. Negotiations are underway with the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, announced deputy Jaouad Chami.
No decision has yet been made on this subject, but the negotiations are progressing positively, Chami said in an interview with the Al Omk site, confirming that the president of the Moroccan Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, held a session with officials from the Fez-Meknes region on the opportunity to build a large stadium in Meknes. The governor of the city of Meknes, the president of the Meknes club, the president of the region, parliamentarians, the mayor and some of his deputies took part in this meeting.
The decision to build or not the large stadium of Meknes will be made within two weeks, added the PAM parliamentarian, specifying that a site will be identified to accommodate this much-awaited mega project by Moroccans in general and the residents of Meknes in particular. Morocco has already launched an international call for tenders for the equipment of the stands of the stadiums of Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir and Fez, in the perspective of the 2030 World Cup that it is jointly organizing with Spain and Portugal.
