70-Year-Old Moroccan Man Earns High School Diploma with Honors, Inspiring Late Learners

In Mohammedia, a 70-year-old man took the Baccalaureate exam and has just obtained it with the "Fairly Good" mention. He is the oldest candidate to have succeeded in obtaining this diploma this year.
Mekkaoui Bouchaïb, 70 years old this year, and originally from Aïn Harrouda, is the Baccalaureate laureate, the oldest, in Morocco, in this 2018-2019 school year. He obtained this diploma with the "Fairly Good" mention, in Social Sciences.
Rue20 states that the Provincial Directorate of National Education of Mohammedia has issued a few words on this achievement, while taking the opportunity to encourage, through this example, the students who will have to take the makeup session: "With perseverance and will, wishes are always fulfilled. Good luck to the candidates of the makeup exams!"
It should be noted that in the first Baccalaureate session in 2019, Morocco recorded a success rate of 65.55%, including private and public students. Last year, it had recorded a success rate of 57.36%. The best grade this year went to Yassine Habbaz, in Salé, in the "Mathematical Sciences in French" Section, with 19.40/20!
