9-Year-Old Moroccan Girl Wins Arab Reading Challenge in Germany

"The Arab Reading Challenge", which took place this week in Germany, was won by a young Moroccan girl. Her name is Firdaous Bouzeryouh. She is only 9 years old.
This challenge is a qualifying stage of the European eliminations of this competition, in the category of "Students of communities" established in non-Arab countries and whose final phases are scheduled for soon in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, reports the MAP.
"I have read a lot of books in Arabic, which have opened my mind and plunged me into incredible worlds. Reading has made me visit many places and helped me overcome stage fright and be more confident," said the one who represented the "School of Friendship", one of the most important projects of the "Friendship Association" in the German city of Raunheim.
"I was born in Germany, but I also visited Morocco by reading books about the Kingdom and the Moroccan traveler, Ibn Battuta," adds the young girl whose dream is to visit the Casablanca International Book Fair to meet the great Moroccan writers.
Born to parents from the Rif, Firdaous lives in Rüsselsheim, a city known to be the headquarters of the Opel manufacturer. Her talent was perfected at the "School of Friendship" where she takes Arabic language lessons.
It should be noted that the 2018 edition was won by the young Moroccan, Meryem Amjoune.
