16-Year-Old Franco-Moroccan Singer Nour Wins 'The Voice France' 2022

After several weeks of competition, it is finally Nour, the youngest candidate in the history of The Voice France, who is the winner with 56.2% of the votes. The final took place on Saturday, May 21 on TF1.

Once again a candidate of Florent Pagny, the iconic coach of The Voice France, comes out victorious. This time, it is a 16-year-old girl who had made all four coaches turn around during the blind audition by interpreting with her personal touch the title "Tous les cris les SOS" by Daniel Balavoine. She allows herself to be convinced by Florent Pagny’s arguments and joins the coach’s team, who holds the record in terms of participation and winners of the competition.

Born in Versailles to a French mother and a Moroccan father, Nour very early on traced her path after the blind auditions by already showing during the battles her desire to go as far as possible in the competition. For the young high school student who had already participated in The Voice Kids and was eliminated during the battles, the need to do more was obvious. Her failure with Soprano during her adventure in The Voice Kids boosted her and pushed her to improve her voice and performance.

While Nour was preparing for the final in order to give her best, bad news comes to catch her off guard. The youngest contestant in the show has lost her voice from overusing it. "The warrior," as the coaches have nicknamed her, is not discouraged. She is convinced that it will pass. "It’s more fatigue, but I have to get over my emotions. I’m trying not to talk too much even though it’s complicated," the young candidate had explained.

Despite the danger, she chose to interpret for the final, "Shallow" by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. She is also the first candidate to go on stage last Saturday, adding even more to her stress. The high school student had also interpreted "Vole" by Céline Dion before closing her performance with "Avant toi," a duet with Slimane, winner in 2016 of The Voice France in Florent Pagny’s team.

With her performances, the youngest contestant in the show managed to convince the viewers and won first place with 56.2% of the votes. The winner thus wins a contract with Universal Music for her first solo album. Very unsettled by her victory, Nour let a few tears escape before announcing that she dedicates this trophy to Florent Pagny, who is fighting lung cancer. "I wanted to win for Florent Pagny, not for me," she had confessed.
