World Leaders Offer Condolences to Morocco’s King Mohammed VI on Death of Princess Lalla Latifa

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other world leaders have expressed their condolences to King Mohammed VI following the death on Saturday, June 29 of Princess Lalla Latifa, wife of the late Hassan II and mother of the sovereign.
"I learned with distress the news of the death of your mother. Following this sad news that has mourned you as well as the royal family, I would like to present, in my name and on behalf of the Algerian people, my sincere condolences to Your Majesty," writes Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in a message addressed to King Mohammed VI.
In a message addressed to King Mohammed VI, King Abdullah II of Jordan presented the condolences of the Jordanian people and government to the sovereign, the royal family and the Moroccan people. The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also sent a message of condolences to King Mohammed VI. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Presidential Court, did the same.
The French Embassy in Morocco joins this global wave of sympathy and support for the Moroccan royal family. "Following the death of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa, the Ambassador of France to Morocco presents his saddened condolences to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to Their Royal Highnesses the Princes and Princesses, to all members of the royal family and to the entire Moroccan people," can be read in a post on X.
