World Cup Fever: Moroccan Jersey Sales Surge in France Ahead of Semi-Final Clash

As the Morocco-France semi-final match of the 2022 Qatar World Cup approaches, sales of jerseys for both teams have increased in Clermont-Ferrand to the point where sports stores are now facing a shortage.
"People are constantly calling us to find out if we have any Moroccan jerseys left," explain Caroline and Brahim from the FootKorner store to La Montagne. But the store has sold so many that it is no longer able to meet customer demand. "We didn’t have much stock. There must have been about twenty tracksuits. Everything has been sold." Same observation at Go Sport in the Jaude center. "We didn’t have them in the store, but it was possible to buy them on our website. But now it’s over. It will be difficult to find them, especially in time for Wednesday’s match," admits Virginie Oriol, a saleswoman.
However, a few French team jerseys are still available at Go Sport. "Sales have really been on the rise. It took a little time to get going. At first, the white jersey, for playing away, was selling more. Now it’s the blue one. Especially from the round of 16 onwards." Only sizes S and XL remain. Intersport located in the La Pardieu area finds itself in the same situation. "There are no more adult men’s jerseys left. On the other hand, we have some for women and children. Not to mention plenty of accessories and supporter t-shirts with the players’ names," says Jean-Alexis Rodde.
