World Cup Concern: Belgium Falls to Egypt in Final Friendly Match

Belgium, Morocco’s future opponent at the World Cup, was beaten (2-1) by Egypt on Friday in their last friendly match in Kuwait City.
The Red Devils are worrying before the World Cup in Qatar. Their last test against the Egyptian Pharaohs resulted in a defeat. Less than a week before the start of the competition, the future opponents of the Atlas Lions have shown signs of defensive fragility.
The players of coach Roberto Martinez cracked twice in this match. The first time in the half hour on a goal by Mostafa Mohamed (33rd) and the second right after the return from the locker room, via Trezeguet on a decisive pass from Mohamed Salah (46th). The only Belgian achievement was the work of Belgian-Moroccan Loïs Openda (76’). This awakening was however too late and insufficient.
This defeat could leave traces in their first matches of the competition. The Red Devils will start on November 23 against Canada before facing Morocco (November 27) and Croatia (December 1) in Group F.
