World Bank Study: Morocco Leads Africa in Internet Connectivity at 62%

Morocco is the most connected African country to the Internet. This is revealed by a recent World Bank study on Internet access in Africa.
Morocco is at the top of the ranking of the most connected African countries with a rate of 62%. The Seychelles are in second place with 59%. Cape Verde follows with 57%. South Africa, Djibouti, Mauritius and Tunisia are 4th ex-aequo with 56%, ahead of Gabon 50%, Algeria 48% and Egypt 45%.
These data come from the statistics of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations agency dedicated to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), as well as from national household surveys, the accuracy of which varies depending on the country.
