Woman Found Dead in Rabat After Romantic Evening Turns Tragic

The lifeless body of a young woman was found on Monday, April 20, in the Ocean district of Rabat. The victim had just spent a romantic evening with her companion, which had apparently taken a bad turn.
After the discovery of the young woman’s body lying on the sidewalk of the neighborhood, local residents alerted the patrols ensuring compliance with the state of health emergency decreed to curb the spread of covid-19 in the kingdom, reports Assabah. The police learned that the victim had spent the evening with her lover, found in an advanced state of drunkenness.
The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue of the Rabat University Hospital Center for an autopsy, which will determine the real causes of her death. The deceased was a waitress who had been unemployed since the closure of the cafe where she worked due to the containment measures. According to witnesses, she was a woman without a history and particularly reserved.
Designated as a suspect, the lover denied any involvement in this death. He claimed that the young woman had voluntarily thrown herself out the window. The public prosecutor’s office ordered further investigation on suspicion of murder. Pending his appearance before the judge on Thursday, April 23, he was placed in custody.
