Wild Boars Ravage Cemetery in El Jadida, Morocco, Exhuming Remains

Wild boars have caused significant damage in the fields and cemeteries of Ouled Ghanem. Remains of exhumed bodies scattered throughout the cemetery of the Lamjidate douar were discovered early in the morning by residents of the locality.
Thinking they were dealing with tomb desecrators or a premeditated criminal act by treasure hunters, the residents realized that it was actually wild boars thanks to the hoof prints found in neighboring fields, reports Assabah.
The same source specifies that these wild animals in search of pastures have taken refuge in the Souinia forest, in the commune of Ouled Ghanem, where they protected their piglets and moved at night in the surroundings, in search of food.
Three years ago, wild boars had caused the death of two people in the commune of Moulay Abdellah. Tired of having to endure these worrying situations, the inhabitants call on the officials of the provincial directorate of Water and Forests of El Jadida, who are called upon to react to limit the damage.
