Western Sahara Leader Warns of Potential Military Conflict with Morocco

The president of the "Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic" ("SADR"), Brahim Ghali, threatened Morocco during the celebration of the 44th anniversary of his "country".
"Military confrontation with Morocco is more than ever conceivable," said Brahim Ghali. The "president of the SADR", also "secretary general" of the Polisario, hammered that the Front "could not be involved in any effort that does not fully respect" the "sacred rights" of the "Sahrawi people" to "self-determination", like all colonial peoples and countries".
He calls on the international community to "assume its responsibilities" in the event of an imminent military confrontation with Morocco.
The kingdom has proposed an autonomy plan for the Sahara, which is strongly supported by many countries. For its part, the United Nations (UN) also supports this initiative, which will allow a consensual and definitive solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue to be found.
