Vueling Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Morocco After Onboard Fire

A Vueling flight from the island of Gran Canaria to Malaga experienced an incident, forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing in Casablanca, Morocco.
While the plane was flying over the Atlantic Ocean, a fire broke out in the kitchen oven, as reported by a couple of passengers cited by the Spanish press. Faced with this unexpected situation, the crew applied the safety protocols and decided to divert the plane to the nearest airport, Casablanca. Thanks to the responsiveness of the flight crew, the fire was quickly brought under control, ensuring the safety of all passengers.
The incident, which fortunately did not result in any injuries, nevertheless disrupted the passengers’ journey, who had to wait five hours at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca before being able to resume their flight to Malaga.
