Visa Raises Contactless Payment Limit in Morocco to 400 Dirhams

The ceiling for contactless transactions and without PIN code has been raised from 230 to 400 dirhams. This is what VISA has decided in collaboration with Moroccan banks.
This is the result of a collaboration between VISA, local banks and partners in the financial services sector. Together, they are working to implement this new limit without a PIN code.
"When consumers use the Tap to Pay payment solution, they appreciate the fluidity of their shopping experience, both fast and secure," said Sami Romdhane, Managing Director of VISA for the Maghreb.
"We are committed to stimulating innovation and providing consumers and merchants with the best way to settle their transactions, and we look forward to supporting the growth of contactless technology, which is highly secure, by increasing payment ceilings in Morocco," he assured.
