Viral Video Hoax Falsely Claims Moroccan Migrants Abuse Spanish Aid System

The author of the video that went viral on social networks and in which five men, presumed to be Moroccan migrants, claim that they benefit from Spanish state aid without working, has acknowledged that it was a hoax.
The video, posted by the author on August 10 on his TikTok account, has been circulating on WhatsApp and Twitter and on far-right websites. The five people who appear in it work like any other Spaniard, the author of the video assured Maldita.es, stating that it was a joke. "What is said in the video is not true," he adds.
In a previous video posted in February 2021, the author had explained that on his account called "ZASCAS Y COMEDIA", he only produces "humorous" videos in which he denounces social facts; in other words, that he does "social criticism".
At the beginning of the video released in August, the author claims that Moroccans do not work. But in another video posted in March 2021, still on his TikTok account, he declares himself to be a "naturalized Spaniard living in Spain and doing business there".
Other videos that went viral on social media, such as one of a woman claiming to have helped her wear the veil, have also been recognized as "sarcastic" by the author.
