Violent Attack in Rabat: Man Assaults Pregnant Ex-Wife, Attempts Forced Abortion

Even after divorcing, the young woman is not out of trouble. According to the Arabic-language newspaper Assabah, the ex-husband does not digest the separation. Determined to settle the score with her, he tried to make her abort on the public road in Rabat.

According to the daily’s explanations, the aggressor attacked the young woman as she was returning from work. Razor in hand, he struck her in the face, beat her in the belly, in order to make her lose her baby.

The young woman’s ex-husband is not on his first attempt. Once before, he went to her home to make abortion threats against her, in case she did not give up the divorce. The threats also continued at the victim’s workplace.

Annoyed, the victim filed a complaint against her tormentor. The police services will raid the aggressor’s home. Significant quantities of cannabis will be seized, and he himself will be found under the influence of drugs.

Pending clarification of this case, the suspect has been taken into custody for the needs of the investigation.
