A vast modernization plan for Moroccan airports

Abdessamad Kayouh, Minister of Transport and Logistics, announced a vast modernization plan for Moroccan airports. This ambitious program aims to increase the capacity of existing infrastructure and improve the services offered to travelers.
During a question-and-answer session at the House of Representatives, the minister stressed the need to "innovate in services and infrastructure" to ensure sustainable growth in the aviation sector. The goal is clear: to achieve operational and environmental excellence while developing human capital.
This plan is part of the perspective of the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco is expected to host jointly with Spain and Portugal. "The government and the transport sector are mobilized for this global event," assured Mr. Kayouh.
Concretely, several projects are underway: the extension of Nador Al Aroui airport, the creation of a new domestic terminal at Mohammed V airport in Casablanca, the rehabilitation of terminal 1 of Tanger Ibn Battouta airport, the renovation and extension of the runways of Tétouan and Al Hoceima airports, the construction of new terminals in Dakhla and Rabat-Salé, as well as the expansion of Marrakech airport.
