Unvaccinated Individuals Face 11 Times Higher Risk of COVID-19 Infection, Moroccan Health Officials Warn

Faced with the evolution of the Covid-19 epidemic in Morocco, the health authorities continue to maintain vigilance in order to better cope with a new wave. They urge unvaccinated people to get vaccinated, as they are the most exposed to the disease.
"The analytical data on the evolution of the epidemic in Morocco already indicate a decrease in the number of people infected daily by this infectious virus, but at the same time, we are recording an increase in the number of serious daily cases that require intensive care," said Said Afif, member of the National Scientific and Technical Committee for vaccination against "Covid-19", in a press statement.
Thus, it is important to vaccinate people who have not yet been vaccinated, mainly the elderly, frontline workers including nurses, in order to reduce the risk of contamination and prevent the deterioration of the health status of infected people.
Afif thus urges unvaccinated people to get vaccinated because "the rate of development of infection in a dangerous condition is multiplied by 11 compared to vaccinated people, which would spare the people concerned unnecessary health suffering".
