Uncertainty Surrounds Morocco’s Marhaba Operation 2021 as Official Details Remain Unclear

Morocco has still not provided official information on the organization of the Marhaba Operation 2021. This lack of communication is worrying on the Ceuta side.
The Marhaba Operation was canceled last year due to the health crisis and the closure of borders since March 2020. In recent months, various information has been published in the media, announcing a probable organization of the Marhaba Operation without going through the cities of Ceuta and Melilla.
For the moment, Morocco has not given any official information about the holding of the Transit Operation under normal conditions, with a possible opening of the Moroccan borders. Everything will depend on the evolution of the epidemiological situation, indicate sources from the Spanish Ministry of the Interior. "Faced with the pandemic, the first thing to do is to wait and see how the situation evolves," they specify.
As for civil protection, it does not believe in the organization of the Marhaba Operation 2021 which, under normal circumstances, should begin in early June, but the preparation begins as early as March or even before.
