UAE Threatens Restrictions on Nations Failing to Repatriate Citizens, Including Morocco

The United Arab Emirates express their dissatisfaction with countries, including Morocco, which have not yet repatriated their nationals stranded on its territory. The country threatens to impose restrictions on them.
The Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization, Nasser Bin Thani Al Hamli, stated that it is now planned to restructure cooperation and labor relations with countries that have closed their air and sea borders and are not organizing the repatriation of their nationals stranded on its soil.
These measures include the introduction of a quota system in recruitment policies and the suspension of agreements linking the United Arab Emirates to the countries concerned. For the ministry, the governments of these countries are responsible for the repatriation of their nationals.
Meanwhile, Morocco maintains the closure of its air and sea borders, in order to avoid the spread of covid-19. However, the kingdom has authorized special flights for the repatriation of French, Emirati, Belgian, Belgian-Moroccan... nationals stranded on its territory, and is also working to repatriate its nationals stranded abroad.
