UAE Military Chief Visits Morocco to Strengthen Defense Ties

On an official visit to Morocco from October 18 to 19, the Chief of Staff of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, Major General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, met with several senior Moroccan army officials, including the Delegate Minister in charge of the National Defense Administration (NDA), Abdellatif Loudiyi.
The exchange between the two men took place on Wednesday at the NDA headquarters, according to a statement from the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces (FAR), stressing that the discussions focused on the deep and historical ties between the two countries and on bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of defense and the exchange of experiences and the joint development of defense industry projects.
The Emirati army chief was also received on the same day by the Army Corps General, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the Southern Zone, Belkhir El Farouk, at the General Staff Headquarters of the FAR, in the presence of the relevant General Officers of the FAR General Staff.
During these exchanges, the discussions focused on various subjects related to the cooperation between the FAR and the Emirati Armed Forces, particularly the operational aspect. The two parties agreed to strengthen bilateral military training or in a multilateral framework, through their participation in large-scale exercises, such as "African Lion".
