Twitch Star Pokimane’s Emotional Return to Morocco Captured in Vlog

After participating in TwitchCon 2023 in Paris, Pokimane flew to Morocco where she visited her grandparents whom she has not seen for many years. A visit full of emotions for the "Queen of Twitch". After offering some gifts to members of her extended family, she realizes that she may not meet some of them during her visit. She talks about this visit in a vlog.

"It’s so hard to accept. Of course, people die one day or another. But this morbid reality is not something to think about very often. But when you can only see some members of your family once every few years, it’s really something you have to think about," says the 27-year-old woman, who left Morocco at the age of 4 for Canada.

She says she is often haunted by the idea of not spending much time with her loved ones in Morocco. "We can’t help but think that if I had been able to spend more time with them, if I had been able to grow up as if we hadn’t grown up in another country. Or if I had had to take even more time to try to see them. But in reality, when you’re at the other end of the world, it’s very difficult, even for someone like me who has such privileges," explains the Twitch and YouTube streamer with 9 million subscribers.
