The Colombian beauty queen was in Morocco with her family for a vacation and to celebrate her birthday when the violent earthquake occurred. In a live video on Instagram, she reveals that strong tremors began to be felt on Friday at 11:11 pm.

The Miss Universe Colombia recounts that at the time of the earthquake, she was in a room on the second floor of a hotel and rushed towards the exit, but the doors were jammed. She says she finally managed to open them and take shelter with her family on the hotel’s rooftop terrace.

In her video, Valentina explains that from this height, she could see the smoke invading the city due to the collapse of neighboring buildings.
