Turkish Mafia Exploits Moroccan Gold Deposits with Local Support

A Turkish mafia, specialized in the trafficking of precious metals, exploits the Moroccan deposit, with the blessing of the local authorities.
According to gold trade professionals, this well-organized network is supported by Moroccans who export scrap metal containing gold and silver to them.
According to the daily Assabah, which explains the technique of this mafia, gold is exported in large quantities, in the form of scrap metal, on an industrial scale. This gold, as well as the precious metal silver, once in Turkey, is extracted from the lots of scrap metal and transformed into gold bars.
The other observation made in this traffic is that these precious metals, transported by truck to Turkey at low prices, do not exceed 2,000 dirhams per ton, thus creating a considerable loss of revenue for the State. In Turkey, this ton represents a fortune, since the Turks manage to extract 500 grams of gold and 4 kilograms of silver from it.
In total, four containers are exported to Turkey every month at a rate of 50 kilos of gold and 400 kilos of silver, confide the professionals in the sector, outraged by this traffic that enriches this Turkish mafia.
