Turkish Fugitive Wanted for Kidnapping and Murder Arrested in Casablanca

The Moroccan police arrested in Casablanca a Turkish national who is the subject of an international arrest warrant for belonging to a criminal gang specializing in kidnappings, sequestrations and even murders. The Court of Cassation will decide in the coming days on his extradition to his country of origin.
The arrest took place following a brawl in a shop in Errahma, an urban hub located on the outskirts of Casablanca, between Oulfa and Dar Bouazza, reports Assabah. The Turkish national had returned a smartphone he had purchased from two merchants on the grounds that the quality of the device was poor. He demanded a refund in exchange for the return of the mobile phone. But he was met with the categorical refusal of the two sellers. A fight broke out. Alerted, the police arrived on the scene and took them to the police station.
During the identity check of the Turk, it was discovered that he is wanted in his country for belonging to a criminal gang specializing in kidnappings, sequestrations, and even murders. He is also the subject of an Interpol international arrest warrant. Pending the Court of Cassation’s decision on his extradition to his country, he has been held in custody.
