Turkish-Made Akıncı Drone Sets 100,000-Hour Flight Record, Morocco Among Buyers

Exceptional performance for the Akıncı drone, recently acquired by Morocco. The aircraft manufactured by the Turkish company Baykar has achieved a feat by exceeding 100,000 flight hours.
The Akinci drone has performed over 100,000 flight hours in Turkish airspace. A new record, Baykar said in a statement released on Tuesday, cited by the Anadolu agency. The drone recently acquired by Morocco had already reached a record altitude of 45,118 feet, the note points out, noting that it has "signed purchase contracts with 11 countries".
Such a long flight duration constitutes "a real scientific and technological feat to the credit of this company," said Abderrahmane Mekkaoui, a specialist in military affairs, noting that "without a doubt, this drone will be a major asset for the Royal Moroccan Air Force in terms of surveillance and intelligence, particularly at the level of the security wall in the Moroccan Sahara".
This drone represents "a major asset for the Royal Air Force, both in terms of technical specifications and combat capabilities," confided a security expert, welcoming Baykar’s establishment in Morocco "to strengthen the industrial transition in the field of defense, an objective that the Royal Armed Forces are striving to anchor".
It should be recalled that Baykar has created in Morocco the company "Atlas Defence", a limited liability company (SARL), specialized in "the design, manufacture, development and maintenance of drones, the production and sale of spare parts for drones," among other things. It was created with a capital of 2.5 million dirhams, divided into shares held by Lutfi Hanuk Bayraktar and Selçuk Bayraktar, founders of Baykar.
