Turkish Authorities Arrest Key Figure from Moroccan Islamist Group Al Adl Wal Ihssan

One of the influential members of al Adl Wal Ihsan, Mohamad Rafia, has just been arrested by the Turkish authorities, the Islamist organization said in a statement.
This professor specializing in Islamic jurisprudence and member of the World Union of Muslim Scholars, was apprehended on Wednesday in an Istanbul train station while traveling with his family.
Arrived in Turkey a week ago for a tourist stay, Mohamad Rafia was arrested during a train trip. His family, left at the station, received no support, it is further stated.
Al Adl Wal Ihsan strongly condemns this arrest which it describes as "arbitrary" and questions the motivations behind this act. It emphasizes Mohamad Rafia’s status, a recognized figure in the Islamic world, and is concerned about the repetition of such treatments against its members.
