Turkey Recognizes Moroccan COVID-19 Vaccine Pass, Easing Travel Restrictions

Turkey now recognizes the Moroccan vaccine pass. This should facilitate travel for Moroccans wishing to visit this country in these times of Covid-19.
Yavuz Selim Kiran, Turkish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, tweeted the announcement. In addition to Morocco, Turkey also recognizes vaccination certificates issued by Albania, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Palestine, Georgia, Switzerland, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, Moldova, Serbia, Ukraine and Greece.
"We are conducting effective diplomacy to be able to overcome the effects of the pandemic quickly. We thus aim to facilitate mutual travel between our country and other countries, in particular thanks to our vaccination program and our certificates that comply with the standards set by the European Union," the official wrote.
All travelers - aged 12 and over - from other countries including Morocco must present at least one of the following documents before boarding: a vaccination certificate issued by the authorities certifying that they have been vaccinated at least 14 days before entering Turkey, or a negative PCR test less than 72 hours old or a rapid test less than 48 hours old before entering Turkey, the Turkish Embassy in Rabat had announced. They must also complete a Turkey entry form, available on the registerhealth.gov
