Turkey Deports Moroccan ISIS Suspect in Ongoing Repatriation Effort

A jihadist, holding Moroccan nationality, was repatriated on Monday, December 16 to his country of origin, according to a statement from the Turkish Ministry of the Interior.
The information is relayed by the Anadolu agency. It confirms the statements made by the ministry spokesman on November 11, regarding the triggering of the extradition process for jihadists from foreign countries.
The spokesman had specified that Turkey is not a hotel reserved for members of the Islamic State Daesh, announcing the imminent extradition of all detainees.
On October 9, Turkey launched a military operation in northern Syria under Kurdish control, before ending it. Since then, the country has begun the process of sending pro-Daesh back to their countries of origin.
