Tuition Hike at French Schools in Morocco Sparks Parent Outrage

Parents of students in French schools in Morocco are upset about a decision they describe as unilateral. Indeed, the administration has announced for the next school year, a significant increase in tuition fees.
This decision, according to Challenge, will be differentiated from one region to another, based on the national inflation rate and the real estate investment cost specific to each establishment.
Strongly opposed by parents, this decision, according to the heads of French establishments, will take effect from the next school year. Angry, the parents have spoken out, denouncing in particular "a unilateral decision without prior consultation with the parents".
To force the administration to back down, they organized a sit-in in front of all the establishments on November 26, 2019. A press conference is scheduled for Thursday, November 28 at 9 a.m. at the headquarters of the UCPE/Fcpe Parents’ Association.
