Trial Begins for 24 Accused in Brutal Murder of Scandinavian Hikers in Morocco

The 24 accused in the case of the murder of the two Scandinavian tourists were at the bar yesterday, Friday, June 14. They were questioned by the Judge for the fourth hearing, at the Salé Court.
In the dock of the accused, the arrival of the 24 defendants who, with a smile on their lips, displayed a disconcerting serenity, will have intrigued more than one. But very early on, the atmosphere takes on another color, when Judge Abdelatif Amrani calls the first accused to the bar. Already sentenced to three years in prison in 2015 for "apology for terrorism", the latter had already admitted, during the hearing on May 30, to having beheaded the two young hikers.
"Le Monde Afrique" recalls that the defendants are being tried "for having beheaded two young Scandinavian hikers found dead in their tent on December 17, 2018 while they were camping near Mount Toubkal, in the High Atlas".
