Transgender Influencer Accused of Outing LGBTQ Moroccans in Online Campaign

Several civil society associations call on Moroccans to be vigilant against Naoufal Moussa, a transgender woman better known as "Sofia Talouni" on social networks. She excels in the art of blackmail and denunciation against the LGBTQ community.
"Sofia Talouni" resides in Turkey where she is leading a campaign of defamation and denunciation against LGBTQ people in Morocco. She encourages her subscribers on social networks to download the Grindr application, dedicated to meetings for gay men, to create fake accounts and to search for the profiles of their acquaintances. Yet, homosexuality and sex outside marriage are punishable by imprisonment in the kingdom.
Those who have followed Sofia Talouni’s advice are victims of denunciation and defamation, even blackmail, denounce 15 associations, including the ATYAF collective, the Hors la loi collective, the Adala association or Liqa’at. The latter are signatories of a joint declaration in which they call for the sanctioning of Sofia Talouni.
