Transavia Unveils Budget-Friendly Biarritz-Marrakech Route, Expanding Morocco-France Connections
Transavia, the low-cost subsidiary of the Air France group, has launched a new direct route between Morocco and France.
Friendly activities in the boarding lounge and the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony were at the heart of the inauguration of the new direct Biarritz–Marrakech route on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Transavia will operate two flights per week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) and without competition, starting this winter, from €49 one-way. It will increase the frequency next summer, with two flights each Thursday and Sunday.
This new route responds to strong demand for travel to North Africa, driven by the development of the low-cost market and strengthened partnerships between French and Moroccan airlines, according to Air Journal. "The inauguration of our new route to Marrakech demonstrates our desire to establish a lasting presence in the region. Our customers now have new affordable travel opportunities to reach this must-see destination in Morocco. As proof of our commitment, the route is already extended to the summer of 2026," says Julien Mallard, Deputy Managing Director of Commercial Affairs at Transavia France.
The Biarritz–Marrakech route complements Transavia’s direct destinations from Biarritz, alongside Paris Orly, Marseille, and Bastia. "For 5 years, Transavia has established itself as a major partner of our platform, fully contributing to its dynamism and attractiveness. This new connection enriches the offer from Biarritz, offering travelers new possibilities of escape to sunny destinations," comments Pascal Géraudie, Director of Biarritz-Pays Basque Airport.
Travelers are invited to make reservations through the Transavia website and partner agencies.
