Tragic Gas Leak in Morocco Claims Lives of Toulouse Family on Vacation

Four members of a Toulouse family on vacation in Kenitra lost their lives in the night from Friday to Saturday, as a result of gas poisoning. An investigation has been opened to clarify the circumstances of the tragic incident.
A Toulouse couple, accompanied by their two young daughters and the maternal grandmother of the latter, were on vacation in the Moroccan city when they were victims of gas poisoning, reports La Dépêche. Alerted by neighbors who had smelled the gas, the police and firefighters quickly went to the scene. The victims received first aid, but this was not enough to save the father and grandmother, who died on the spot. The two little girls also died a few hours later, in the early Saturday morning.
As for the mother, she was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Her vital prognosis was engaged. But according to the latest news, she would have come out of the coma on Monday. The neighbors of the victims in Morocco as well as the relatives of their families in Toulouse, precisely in the Faourette district, are shocked by this tragic disappearance.

In Toulouse, loved ones remember the "adorable little girls" and the parents "who work and don’t make a fuss". Mohamed El Ghamrasni, the Muslim chaplain in charge of the prisons of Midi-Pyrénées and who has been leading a fight against the radicalization of detainees for several years, is the maternal grandfather of the children.
An investigation has been opened in Morocco to determine the exact circumstances of the incident. The victims should be laid to rest this week. A memorial service for the family is scheduled for next Friday at the Toulouse mosque.
