Tragic Deaths of Three Pregnant Women Spark Outcry in Casablanca

Three pregnant women died in a private clinic in Casablanca during their deliveries on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. A tragedy that has plunged the city into emotion. The Moroccan Organization for Human Rights is calling for an investigation to be opened.
"The three women, including a 23-year-old woman who was expecting her first child, had entered the clinic in good health, but died without any clear explanation from the clinic administration or medical staff," the Moroccan human rights organization said in a statement. Shocked, it is calling on the health and judicial authorities to immediately open a thorough investigation to determine the true causes of these deaths and hold accountable all those who have shown negligence or are involved in this case.
The organization calls on the private clinic administration to issue an official statement to clarify the circumstances of this incident to the public, in order to strengthen confidence in the health system. For it, it is necessary to strengthen medical supervision in private clinics to ensure compliance with medical standards and ensure patient safety.
