Tragic Ambulance Crash in Morocco Kills Nurse and Patient’s Mother, Injures Two Others

Road accidents continue to sow sadness and outrage in Morocco. An ambulance transporting three people, in addition to the driver, overturned, causing the immediate death of two of the passengers, including a nurse.
The tragedy occurred on the road connecting the province of Assa-Zag to Guelmim-Oued Noun in Agadir. The ambulance was transporting a patient and her mother, a nurse and the driver. In addition to the nurse, the patient’s mother also died. As for the patient, she suffered minor injuries; the driver, on the other hand, was seriously injured in the spine. They were taken to Hassan II Hospital in Agadir to receive appropriate care, reports Hespress.
The entire medical community was shocked by this tragic event. To die so brutally while trying to save a life. The unions in the medical sector have also strongly criticized the message of condolences that the Minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb, sent to the families of the two victims.
As one might expect, the nurses remain very shocked by the death of their colleague. The Movement of Nurses and Health Technicians of Morocco (MITSM) recalled, in a statement, the number of nurses and health technicians who have lost their lives on the roads while trying to fulfill their duty.
This road accident highlights many difficulties that weigh down the health sector, and for which, the workers demand that the State look into them more closely so that no health worker is forced to lose their life in this way.
