Tragic Accident Mars Election Celebration in Morocco: 6 Dead, Several Injured

As they were preparing to celebrate the electoral triumph of their candidate at the head of the Lahri Municipal Council, near Khénifra, an accident occurred, leaving six dead and several injured.

The stunned residents learned the news on Tuesday morning. Six people killed and several others injured while trying to celebrate their candidate’s victory.

According to the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia, a pick-up truck carrying several people driving at high speed, misjudged a turn. Four people were killed on the spot, and two other injured people died at the Khénifra provincial hospital.

Other injured people are currently being treated at the same hospital. As for the deceased, they have been transferred to the morgue. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances and causes of the tragedy.
