Toulouse Terror Victim’s Mother Honored for Youth Outreach Work

The Grand Rabbi Joseph Cohen Foundation Prize was awarded this Sunday, November 17, to Latifa Ibn Ziaten. She is the mother of Imad Ibn Ziaten, the first victim of Mohammed Merah in Toulouse.
According to France 3 Occitanie, after the death of her son Imad Ibn Ziaten on March 11, 2012, Latifa Ibn Ziaten was able to find the necessary psychological strength to found the Imad Association for Youth and Peace. This association aims to help young people in difficulty in the neighborhoods.
It should be remembered that the Grand Rabbi Joseph Cohen Foundation was founded in 1998 by Michel Cohen-Colin. It does not receive donations, but distinguishes individual or collective actions. It has often rewarded associations or individuals who work for the well-being and peace in the world, such as the American association, Equal Justice Initiative, which provides legal representation for wrongly convicted prisoners, poor prisoners without legal support and those who have been denied a fair trial.
