Top Moroccan Law Firms Recognized in Legal 500 Ranking for 2021

In total, about fifteen Moroccan law firms have been distinguished in the 2021 ranking of The Legal 500 in seven areas of law. Individually, fifteen lawyers have also been awarded in recognition of their talents deployed in cases handled in 2020.
Among the Moroccan law firms recognized in this ranking, DLA Piper Maroc, Asafo & Co Morocco and Bassamat & Laraqui stand out clearly in the field of Labor Law. They position themselves as the best law firms in the market, reports Challenge.ma.
In the Financial Markets category, DLA Piper Maroc comes out on top again. It is followed by Clifford Chance Morocco then Kettani Law Firm. Omnipresent and unbeatable, DLA Piper Maroc, a subsidiary of the Anglo-American DLA Piper, reaffirms its supremacy in Real Estate and Tourism and outpaces the Gide Cuatrecasas Casablanca and LPA CGR firms.
In the Litigation and Dispute Resolution category, the DLA Piper firm is closely followed by Clifford Chance Morocco and then Kettani Law Firm. In commercial law, three law firms stand out. Baker & McKenzie occupies the first place, leaving the two respective places to Corporate and Merger & Acquisition and Bennani & Associés and Clifford Chance Morocco.
The ranking was tight in the intellectual property category where the Mehdi Salmouni-Zerhouni and Bakouchi & Habachi HB Law Firm offices jointly occupied the first place just before Kettani Law Firm and Afrique Advisor. E&Y Associated advisors and Gide Cuatrecasas Casablanca, the Moroccan subsidiary of the French CMS Francis Lefebvre, for its part, established itself in tax law.
In addition to the merits recognized by The Legal 500 to Moroccan law firms, about fifteen lawyers individually have been awarded in recognition of the talents deployed in many cases handled in 2020. This ranking of the best Moroccan law firms from The Legal 500 follows the latest Africa Awards 2021 ranking from Chambers & Partners a few weeks ago.
