Timitar Festival Returns to Agadir: 50 Artists Set to Perform After Two-Year Hiatus

Agadir is preparing to reconnect with the Timitar festival after two years of absence due to the health crisis and the measures taken by the authorities to fight against its spread.
To mark the return of this festival, which will be held on July 15 and 16, the Timitar association has scheduled 16 concerts and a rich musical variety "which promotes the values of tolerance and living together," says a press release from the association.
About fifty artists including Rayssa Fatima Tabâamrant, Hatim Ammor, Oudaden, Zina Daoudia, Stati, Yuri Buenaventura, Ahmed Amaynou and Hoba Hoba Spirit will be on hand and promise "moments of joy, dance and communion," notes the same source, which stresses that 800,000 festival-goers are expected to liven up these two days of the festival.
During this festival, there will be the presentation of the book "Journey into the universe of the Rrways", which is a call for the inscription of this authentic art on the UNESCO intangible heritage list. Similarly, the Timitar association plans to support the production of the new album by the rapper artist Jamal Rass Derb. Titled "Tifawine", it is an album that enhances the ancestral Amazigh heritage.
Humor will also be on the program of the OFF festival this year. This will be with Rachid Aslal, Hamid Achtouk, Chaouchaou, Hassan Allioui, Qimroune, Zahra Tamgroudt, Mohamed Bouderka, Qimroune and many others.
