TikTok Influencer Arrested in Morocco for Alleged Drug Trafficking Scheme

Suspected of drug trafficking, an influencer was arrested by the judicial police of Sala El Jadida. She is accused of having resumed the illegal activity of her husband, who was arrested for the same reason.
It all started with a denunciation made by one of her clients who was arrested for drug trafficking. He told the police that he was supplied with Chira by the influencer. This is how she was in turn arrested in the Moulay Ismaël district after the judicial police of Sala El Jadida set a trap for her, reports the Arabic daily Assabah.
The influencer is known on Tiktok where she hosts and posts videos on cooking and other household activities. She manages to build a solid reputation on this social network, which then allows her to switch to business. She then creates a cosmetics sales company. But the arrest of her husband for drug trafficking pushes her to resume her "business", her concern being to provide for the needs of her family.
To carry out this illegal activity, she does business with a drug baron. He supplies her with large quantities of Chira, which she resells at retail through a young girl she has recruited "in exchange for an equal share of the profit". At the same time, she rents rooms to individuals with criminal records to help her make a place for herself in the drug trafficking environment.
After her arrest, the suspect was placed in pre-trial detention in the Al Arjat prison by the prosecutor of the king near the court of first instance of Salé. Her hearing before the judge was postponed to next week, to allow her lawyer to consult the reports of the judicial police. Her accomplice nicknamed "Bint Atika" and the "wholesaler" of drugs known as "Amimi" are the subject of a wanted notice.
