Three Britons Arrested in Morocco for Alleged Counterfeit Pound Scheme

Three Britons were arrested in the Souk lhad in Agadir by the elements of the Public Security in charge of Commercial Activities. They are accused of having held counterfeit banknotes.
According to Souss24, the 3 individuals, who were trying to put into circulation counterfeit British pound sterling banknotes, were arrested following a complaint filed by a merchant.
A search of their home led to the discovery of a large quantity of 20 pound sterling banknotes, which they intended to circulate in Agadir, the same source specifies.
The 3 suspects were placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation opened under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to determine any ramifications and links to the network.
