They wanted to see Kadhem Saher and Elissa in Tangier; money disappears from their accounts

Dozens of people were allegedly trapped in Tangier by an announcement of a concert featuring Kadhem Saher and Elissa. After providing their banking information to purchase tickets, some victims discovered withdrawals from their accounts.

According to Chamal Post, the fake event was announced for September 4 in Tangier. The professionally designed poster used photos of the two artists to lend credibility to the operation.

One detail could nevertheless have alerted buyers: the concert was supposed to take place at a purported “Tangier Royal Cultural Center,” an establishment that does not exist in the city.

Interested individuals were directed to a ticketing link where they had to enter their banking information. Some were then allegedly directed to an online contact who asked them for additional data to finalize the reservation.

Several victims say they never received their tickets. Some subsequently noticed debit transactions on their bank accounts.
