Taxis vs. Indrive: when the Moroccan street becomes a ring

The National Coordination and the Regional Office of the National Organization for Human Rights and the Defense of Freedoms in Morocco call on the authorities responsible for the transport sector to find effective solutions to resolve the recurring conflict between taxi professionals and "Indrive" drivers. They believe that this situation could affect public safety and tourism.
The National Coordination and the Regional Office of the National Organization for Human Rights and the Defense of Freedoms in Morocco are concerned about the conflict between taxi professionals and "Indrive" drivers. In a statement, they refer to the video showing an "Indrive" driver being harassed and attacked by a taxi driver. According to them, it is time to settle the "existing disputes between these two categories of the transport sector". "A median solution between them must be found," they demand, while assuring that they "do not favor the spread of clandestine transport, but demand the regulation of this new sector desired by a large segment of the Moroccan population."
The National Organization for Human Rights and the Defense of Freedoms in Morocco has also condemned the behavior of some taxi drivers. "According to what we are experiencing on the Moroccan street, the behavior of some taxi drivers pushes the customer to request "In Drive" application cars despite the absence of documents authorizing them to work in the transport sector," it notes. To support its statements, it claims to have "received several complaints filed in its offices on behalf of citizens complaining about the poor treatment received from taxi drivers, not to mention the controversial driving of some of them on the streets and alleys without respect for the Highway Code and even the mechanical condition of some cars raises controversy."
The organization assures that it is not "biased against anyone," but that it "examines the complaints of citizens, which is a reality that we live with daily with a category of taxi drivers, some of whom do not deserve the "license of trust," and there are even some who do not even deserve the term taxi driver because of their behavior and their treatment of customers."
