Taxi Driver Murdered in Sidi Kacem; Wife and Lover Suspected in Plot

According to Al Akhbar, a 46-year-old grocer in the Sidi Kacem area is said to have premeditated the murder of a taxi driver, by beating him with sticks, before staging the scene to make it look like a simple assault that got out of hand.

To do this, he waited for him in front of his house, until the time he went to work, 3 o’clock in the morning, and after killing him by beating him with sticks, he placed the body in the taxi. But one detail had been forgotten: his relationship with the wife was almost public knowledge.

This is how the Sidi Kacem police, in collaboration with the Royal Gendarmerie, discovered the reality. By questioning the neighbors and the parties involved, the latter reported the infidelity of the woman. Then, a check of the widow’s phone calls revealed that she had called only one number that day: the grocer...

The latter admitted to having a relationship with the widow for about 2 years. The widow for her part explained everything: her husband was starting to realize her betrayals. So she decided to kill him, with the help of her lover.
