Tangier Child Murder Trial Delayed: Court Sets New Date for High-Profile Case

The trial of the murder of little Adnane in Tangier has been postponed to December 29 following a request from the defense. This case will be tried by the criminal chamber of the Court of Appeal.
Of the 12 requests filed by the Moroccan Association for Human Rights and the defense, only one request was deemed admissible by the court.
For the very procedural lawyer of the victim, the medical expert report, written only in French, must be translated into the official language of the country, namely Arabic.
To recall, little Adnane, barely 11 years old, had been found dead and buried not far from his parents’ home in Tangier. The child had been sexually assaulted, strangled before being buried in a small garden.
Faced with the emotion aroused by the case, the police had put in place large human and material resources to try to find the killer. He will be arrested 72 hours after the events, as well as his two roommates accused of not having reported the crime.
