Tangier Bans Street Grilling During Eid al-Adha for Public Safety and Cleanliness

No more grilling of sheep heads in the streets, alleys and roads of Tangier during the Eid al-Adha festival. This is the decision taken by the municipality.
The municipality of Tangier justifies this decision by the need to ensure public safety and hygiene, as well as the cleanliness and fluidity of traffic, taking into account the opinion of the joint commission and the security, health and logistical requirements that Eid al-Adha imposes. In addition to this decision, the city has also announced that certain professional establishments specializing in grilling will be temporarily assigned to administrative annexes, after the selection of their locations by a local joint commission.
The municipal authorities of Tangier expect the inhabitants to play their part by "collectively rising to the challenge of a clean celebration." This year, Eid al-Adha will take place on June 17 in Morocco.
