Preparations on this 15 km bay on the Mediterranean coast are accelerating for a successful summer season.
On the Tetouan coast with multiple assets, the prefecture is pulling out all the stops to attract as many vacationers as possible. The seaside resort is one of the top destinations for local tourism, reports the MAP, adding that its proximity to major cities is a real asset. Tamuda Bay also stands out for the richness and diversity of its cultural offering, which reflects the Mediterranean dimension of Morocco.
In an effort to provide a pleasant setting, work on the renovation of facades, roads and signage, in addition to green spaces, public squares and the electrification network, is accelerating, said Lahbib Azeriah, head of the economic affairs and coordination division at the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq. He specified that for the summer season, the prefecture intends to take its share in the wave of tourists flocking to Morocco. The official also said that the summer period is the engine of economic activity in this region, which is based on tourism.
Moreover, many beaches have been equipped with free parasols for vacationers, while ensuring the cleanliness of these places 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. According to Lahbib Azeriah, the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq intends to be a model in beach management and general development of spaces.
