Morocco’s Northern Beaches Reopen with Strict COVID-19 Controls

The beaches of M’diq-Fnideq, in northern Morocco, reopened for the delight of vacationers, are subject to constant control. The objective is to avoid the risks of contamination with covid-19.
In M’diq-Fnideq, bathers wear the smile of happiness. The beaches are open and welcome a few bathers. The police play the card of vigilance and maintain permanent control to ensure compliance with the health rules in force, reports Aujourd’hui Le Maroc.
These are in particular the recommendations made as part of the preparations for the reopening of the beaches in M’diq-Fnideq by the national committee for the management of bathing beaches at the level of the Ministry of the Interior as well as the decisions taken during a series of meetings held under the chairmanship of the wali of the Tanger-Tétouan-Al-Hoceïma region and the governor of the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq.
The various coastal areas of the prefecture have benefited from awareness campaigns on strict compliance with health rules on beaches as part of the reopening. The prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq is one of the main seaside tourism hubs. Moreover, its economy depends essentially on its beaches.
